Spectators: 445 (Terracing: 335, Seating: 102, VIP seats: 8) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Malcolm Skark started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Bertassi got free with Ciriaco Hernando in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Echeverri in the 8th minute of play forced Vänge IF's goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Echeverri, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 17th minute Mauro Otsoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonides Telesforo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Cable a Tierra booed when Vänge IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Östen Olsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cable a Tierra were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Vänge IF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fermin Montiel took the corner. The corner led to Cable a Tierra's Gavino Egoi getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 25 played minutes Cable a Tierra got a freekick which was hit by Paulão Laguna. Arrigo Corvo thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Leonides Telesforo, a very annoying self made goal in the 28th minute which led to 0-1. Måns Godholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ciriaco Hernando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Bertassi in the 31st minute. Leonides Telesforo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malcolm Skark in the 34th minute of the match. Malcolm Skark took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonides Telesforo. Leonides Telesforo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Claudio Echeverri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cable a Tierra's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vänge IF the free kick. Paulão Laguna hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Mauro Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonides Telesforo having to interfere. After 45 played minutes, Cable a Tierra's Fermin Montiel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ciriaco Hernando came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cable a Tierra reached it. Ciriaco Hernando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Echeverri, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Gavino Egoi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ciriaco Hernando. That made the score 1-2 in the 48 minute of play. Vänge IF's Zoltán Tálas was substituted for Rune Aspengren. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Narciso Bertassi made a kick off. 61 minutes into the game, Narciso Bertassi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Ciriaco Hernando was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Echeverri came free, but Ciriaco Hernando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Claudio Echeverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dida Guerra hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Leonides Telesforo made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Markus Albäck sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Bruno Giordani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leonides Telesforo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Ciriaco Hernando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Echeverri in the 82nd minute of play. Leonides Telesforo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Giordani, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 86th minute, Fermin Montiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Vänge IF's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Bertassi came free, but Ciriaco Hernando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Claudio Echeverri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute Narciso Bertassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciriaco Hernando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Hernando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Echeverri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vänge IF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
