Sven-Edvin Jansson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan Abrahamsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After 23 minutes, Roberto Trotta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GuateFortín and the PP Plessydask players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 23 played minutes GuateFortín got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Trotta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zico Zellier got free with Jan Abrahamsson in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sungur Tekin kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in PP Plessydask's zone, Sven-Edvin Jansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Abrahamsson came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Jansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fabio Huezo got a throw-in 46 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Heriberto Correa. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

PP Plessydask's Ransford-Yeboah Königsdörffer was substituted for Per-Oskar Sandström. Palle Pottenstein took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nery Pumpido. Nery Pumpido dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 57 minutes into the match, GuateFortín's goal looked a bit too open when Hjalmar Haegg came free, but Nery Pumpido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nery Pumpido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hjalmar Haegg in the 61st minute of play. Babe Baadegaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. GuateFortín made a substitution. Máximo Perrone replaced Heriberto Correa. GuateFortín were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after PP Plessydask's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Angel Alvarenga took the corner. After 72 minutes of play, GuateFortín's Sven-Edvin Jansson made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jan Abrahamsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Babe Baadegaard could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Nery Pumpido made a huge save. Nery Pumpido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hjalmar Haegg in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute Sven-Edvin Jansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Abrahamsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
