Silverio Cordearo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 11 minutes into the match, Rebelution's goal looked a bit too open when Cayetano Aznaro came free, but Agustín Rossi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustín Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Sustrai, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 34th minute, Andres Ubelteso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The CA Quake fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Silverio Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Petersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Jacobo Mouricio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Petersson made a kick off. When Oliver Petersson came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Rebelution fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Petersson couldn't finish the play. Oliver Peterssons short, quick shot in the 67thth minute got Silverio Cordearo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Oliver Petersson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. CA Quake's Tomi Giusti was substituted for Eloy Larra. After some careless play in the CA Quake defense, Frank Teixeira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silverio Cordearo. The CA Quake fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silverio Cordearo should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Teixeira in the 77th minute of play forced CA Quake's goalkeeper Silverio Cordearo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CA Quake's Silverio Cordearo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dario Guib in the 83rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Frank Teixeira put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Silverio Cordearo. Silverio Cordearo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 94th minute.
