The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rodriguinho Sousa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ruperto Modestio in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 6th minute of play forced Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bruce Cornforth got a throw-in 9 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Cornelio Rius. In the 11th minute, Valerio Spadoni reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Rodriguinho Sousa. The goal made the score 1-0. Ruperto Modestio came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rodriguinho Sousa could save by the left post. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mario Alberto Abascal in the 20th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Sousa came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Amboy FC's Valerio Spadoni. But to his dismay, Valerio Spadoni quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Simão do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Rodriguinho Sousa made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Valerio Spadoni sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruperto Modestio. When the match had gone on for 29 minutes, Ruperto Modestio took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Rodriguinho Sousa to make any attempt to save it. Ariel Mourelatos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deilmison van Basten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ariel Mourelatos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 33rd minute of the match. Rodriguinho Sousa made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Valerio Spadoni sent off a good shot on target. The throw-in from Bruce Cornforth in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ATHLETICO PRaiano's Gaétan Govou. Deilmison van Basten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ariel Mourelatos having to make a save. 46 minutes into the match, Amboy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Deilmison van Basten came free, but Ariel Mourelatos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Valerio Spadoni made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ubaldo Guipuzkoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho Sousa. ATHLETICO PRaiano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ubaldo Guipuzkoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Deilmison van Basten received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ariel Mourelatos came out and tried to block the shot, but Deilmison van Basten slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 57th minute. 63 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Ruperto Modestio came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Modestio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Kauldi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as ATHLETICO PRaiano's Deilmison van Basten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ariel Mourelatos. That made the score 4-2 after 72 minutes of play. Ariel Mourelatos made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Deilmison van Basten sent off a good shot on target. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Simão do Vale quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cornelio Rius, made in the 85th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Modestio in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Sousa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the game, Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-3. Rodriguinho Sousa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rodriguinho Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. ATHLETICO PRaiano's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
