The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Riki Čapo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egun Pais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Skytt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stanislas Le Duigou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Cole in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of Floresta Negra FC booed when NECKER49 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basilio Hegoi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Skytt in the 18th minute of play forced Floresta Negra FC's goalkeeper Egun Pais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the game, NECKER49's Silvano Casanova nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egun Pais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Egun Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Riki Čapo, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando Azevedo in the 30th minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Stanislas Le Duigou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvano Casanova fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egun Pais having to interfere. Riki Čapo might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egun Pais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexsandro Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Jerzy Zjawin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Santiago Totakoxe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Egun Pais. Floresta Negra FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santiago Totakoxe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 46 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stanislas Le Duigou narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for John Skytt to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, John Skytt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Egun Pais saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 58 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's goal looked a bit too open when John Skytt came free, but Egun Pais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Riki Čapo in the 72nd minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stanislas Le Duigou made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Jardel Lewandowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
