An unexpectedly hard shot by 巩文铮 in the 21st minute of play forced Boroondara Milan's goalkeeper Jacobs Fazey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as La Baguet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobs Fazey. That made the score 3-0 in the 22 minute of play. With a little luck, Boroondara Milan's Jacobs Fazey got control of the ball when Valter Delin tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when La Baguet got free with Jacobs Fazey in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 6-0.
