In the 16thth minute of the game Farhan Hui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 『挑战者』银河俱乐部's 巩青沙 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sarb Siong fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NFH Family United's protests and gave Sarb Siong a yellow card for diving instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Firdauz Choy hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Gerard Koh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 于冰明 in the 55th minute of play. Gerard Koh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 于冰明, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bryan Lam hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that 于冰明's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gerard Koh was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
