An unexpected shot in the 6th minute by Timur Kutam got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Birol Batır kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Nazimiye's Güneş Fırıncı threw himself towards the right post 8 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Çağrı Bayram, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Haluk Ötüken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Birol Batır, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Abdullah Ersalmış fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Güneş Fırıncı having to interfere. The supporters of Nazimiye booed when Pehlivanköy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Birol Batır didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Çağrı Bayram had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 played minutes Pehlivanköy got a freekick which was hit by Birol Batır. Nazimiye's Demirhan Akadlı suffered a sore knee after 19 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Birol Batır charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birol Batır the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nazimiye's Lütfi Saner was substituted for Demirhan Akadlı. Güneş Fırıncı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Çağrı Bayram in the 40th minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, Nazimiye's goal looked a bit too open when Bilge Sazak came free, but Haluk Ötüken reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
