Valentin Norberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Sverker Sjöö made a huge save. After 9 minutes, Mats Groth made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Blackjacks's Sverker Sjöö tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, Per Söderqwist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the match, Guldsmedshyttan IK's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Alin came free, but Jarl Andreasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Alf Ek managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guldsmedshyttan IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Alf Ek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sverker Sjöö breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blackjacks's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Mats Groth scored to the left of an out of position Sverker Sjöö, making the score, 2-0. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Mats Groth took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sverker Sjöö to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elias Blomkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Blackjacks's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Ove Christoffersson came free, but Sverker Sjöö reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rune Odeen during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Elias Blomkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Guldsmedshyttan IK's Alf Ek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sverker Sjöö made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 76th minute, Ralf Hellbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 77 minutes, Mats Groth made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Blackjacks's Sverker Sjöö tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Blackjacks getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Rune Odeen hit a great ball. Mats Groth scored 6-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sverker Sjöö, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bengt Nordgren during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Groth in the 87th minute of play forced Blackjacks's goalkeeper Sverker Sjöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Blackjacks's zone, Mats Groth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sverker Sjöö came out of the goal and Mats Groth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guldsmedshyttan IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Blackjacks had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
