When Osvald Mattsson came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Lillbo BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvald Mattsson couldn't finish the play. GreenSkar FC's Jens-Ove Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pontus Öberg in the 6th minute of play. Jens-Ove Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pontus Öberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Erland Rosendahl charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erland Rosendahl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Erland Rosendahl kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Jan-Ove Hansson fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GreenSkar FC's protests and gave Jan-Ove Hansson a yellow card for diving instead. Fred Persson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bertil Vallengren having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Lillbo BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pontus Öberg to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pontus Öberg in the 21st minute of play forced GreenSkar FC's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, GreenSkar FC's Jonny Blom got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jan-Olof Josefsson during the 27th minute. Jens-Ove Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Kent Ivarsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 played minutes, Lillbo BK's Fredrik Sävström shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jens-Ove Mårtensson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lillbo BK reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Lillbo BK's zone, Jan-Ove Hansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bertil Vallengren came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Hansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan-Ove Hansson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bertil Vallengren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Jan-Olof Josefsson came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Lillbo BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Olof Josefsson couldn't finish the play. Oskar Dahlquist's late challenge caught a GreenSkar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience held their breath when Rudolf Ahlstedt in the 43rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Bertil Vallengren's left hand side.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Osvald Mattsson made a kick off. Jens-Ove Mårtensson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Osvald Mattsson in the 54th minute. Lillbo BK's Bertil Vallengren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Ove Hansson in the 61st minute of play. When the match had been going on for 63 minutes, Lillbo BK's Fredrik Sävström got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Jens-Ove Mårtensson. 69 minutes into the match, GreenSkar FC's goalkeeper Jens-Ove Mårtensson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvald Mattsson. When Rudolf Ahlstedt fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Lillbo BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fredrik Sävström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jan-Ove Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
