After 8 played minutes Söderhall got a freekick which was hit by Svante Olsson. Martin Skröder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alexander Mikaelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Söderhall defense, Martin Skröder kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Mikaelsson. The Söderhall fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Mikaelsson should have stopped the shot. Calle Askberg hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Joachim Pååk hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The supporters of Söderhall booed when Almaröds FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witold Golaszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 played minutes, Söderhall's Svante Olsson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olov Grubb came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Söderhall reached it. After 30 minutes, Calle Askberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Söderhall and the Almaröds FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Söderhall's Calle Askberg got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Örtendahl in the 33rd minute of play forced Söderhall's goalkeeper Alexander Mikaelsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alexander Mikaelsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Skröder in the 34th minute of the match. Dan Bergstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Olov Grubb made a huge save. After 38 minutes, Pål Lindman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Söderhall and the Almaröds FF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Söderhall was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pål Lindman to maneuver through the defense. Alexander Mikaelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Skröder, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 42 played minutes Söderhall got a freekick which was hit by Calle Askberg. Joachim Örtendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 48th minute Söderhall were awarded a corner. Svante Olsson went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Svante Olsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olov Grubb quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Martin Skröder to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Almaröds FF's goal looked a bit too open when Dan Bergstedt came free, but Olov Grubb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Söderhall's zone, Joachim Örtendahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Mikaelsson came out of the goal and Joachim Örtendahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute, Pål Lindman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olov Grubb was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Edmund Gerdberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pål Lindman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Söderhall's Alexander Mikaelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Skröder in the 82nd minute of play. Svante Olsson hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Martin Skröder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almaröds FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Skröder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Mikaelsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexander Mikaelsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Skröder, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Alexander Mikaelsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joachim Örtendahl in the 96th minute. Many of Almaröds FF's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Almaröds FF may have spent more time on the ball, but Söderhall were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
