The supporters of Bergandy booed when FC Bodil United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven-Olof Igelström didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Freddie Apelkvist came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Bergandy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Freddie Apelkvist couldn't finish the play. Eskil Kjellqvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Karl-Johan Drake went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 20 minutes into the game, Gert Barck was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Bodil United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bergandy the free kick. Gert Barck hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 23rd match minute, FC Bodil United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Bergström to maneuver through the defense. Viggo Lundkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddie Magnusson in the 27th minute of play. Bo Bergström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Eskil Kjellqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Bo Bergström made the kick off in the second half. Viggo Lundkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddie Apelkvist in the 53rd minute of play. Eskil Kjellqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Molander in the 56th minute of the match. FC Bodil United's Viggo Lundkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddie Apelkvist in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marc Asserlind in the 60th minute of play forced FC Bodil United's goalkeeper Viggo Lundkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Eskil Kjellqvist successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Bo Bergström took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Eskil Kjellqvist to make any attempt to save it. Freddie Apelkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Karl-Johan Drake scored 0-4 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eskil Kjellqvist, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marc Asserlind took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viggo Lundkvist. Viggo Lundkvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Eskil Kjellqvist stood somewhat misplaced when Karl-Johan Drake came free in front of goal and shot 1-5 to the left of him in the 83 minute. Viggo Lundkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddie Apelkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 88th minute, Marc Asserlind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bo Bergström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eskil Kjellqvist having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl-Johan Drake got free with Eskil Kjellqvist in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Bodil United's Bo Bergström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eskil Kjellqvist. That made the score 1-6 after 93 minutes of play.
