In the 38th match minute, Hudiksvalls Sjöbodar BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Stålberg to maneuver through the defense. Olof Västerberg took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bertil Bollström. Bertil Bollström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Sverker Collin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertil Bollström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.
