Tord Kämpe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Reine Stenkvist made a huge save. A collision led to Ninjas FK getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Despite this Sixten Nordström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sixten Nordström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Grep, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Ninjas FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torbjörn Grep was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reine Stenkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tord Kämpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Filippos Stathopoulos to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Ninjas FK's goal looked a bit too open when Berkem Heybetli came free, but Reine Stenkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
