Lars Nordmark started the match with the kick off. Bengt Arhenius's late challenge caught a The Shadows's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bengt Arhenius helped the player get up and apologised. In the 4th match minute, Newcastle United F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bengt Arhenius to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the game, The Shadows's Reine Eliasson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Claes Grubb made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 18 minutes, Elliott Klemensson made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Newcastle United F.C.'s Claes Grubb tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to The Shadows getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Marvelous Shady hit a great ball. Newcastle United F.C.'s Håkan Forss couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for The Shadows. Newcastle United F.C.'s Claes Grubb played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elliott Klemensson in the 25th minute of play. Emil Lundberg's late challenge caught a The Shadows's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emil Lundberg helped the player get up and apologised. Sune Kvalfält charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sune Kvalfält the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes The Shadows got a freekick which was hit by Sune Kvalfält. The Shadows's Östen Röd proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save The Shadows from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Niclas Nordin sped through Newcastle United F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Claes Grubb. Sune Kvalfält got his second yellow card in the match during the 38th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to Newcastle United F.C. getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Witomir Arnista hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Robin Bergstedt to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Niclas Nordin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claes Grubb. Newcastle United F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niclas Nordin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Håkan Forss fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Östen Röd having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, The Shadows's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Nordmark came free, but Östen Röd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elliott Klemensson hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 85 minutes into the game, Marvelous Shady was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Shadows's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newcastle United F.C. the free kick. In the 85th minute, Marvelous Shady hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reine Eliasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claes Grubb having to interfere. Egil Lindman kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Robin Bergstedt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claes Grubb read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. The The Shadows players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
