Göran Iller was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of Elefanterna:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Garphyttan:s goal. Jonatan Käcker succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. In the 16th minute Bernt Nordmark shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Gök saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After recieving a nice pass, Garphyttan's Jens-Ola Nordin tried to score from far away in the 23rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute, Jens-Ola Nordin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yngve Uggla did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Jörgen Gummeson 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Nordmark in the 33rd minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Göran Gök to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elefanterna's Göran Gök played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Egon Bratt in the 37th minute of play. In the 40th minute Jimmy Hagström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Göran Gök saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Egon Bratt kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Garphyttan's Jörgen Gummeson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Garphyttan from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Garphyttan defense, Olle Groth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jörgen Gummeson. The Garphyttan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jörgen Gummeson should have stopped the shot. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Johnny Ekeroth stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonatan Käcker in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Göran Gök prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elefanterna's Göran Gök played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Nordmark in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the game, Harry Gustafsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Elefanterna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garphyttan the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnny Ekeroth in the 59th minute of play forced Garphyttan's goalkeeper Jörgen Gummeson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th match minute, Garphyttan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Egon Bratt to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Johnny Ekeroth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jörgen Gummeson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Hagström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th match minute, Elefanterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olle Groth to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Elefanterna's Göran Gök got control of the ball when Jens-Ola Nordin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Elefanterna's goalkeeper Göran Gök had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens-Ola Nordin. Sebastian Hedvall could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Göran Gök made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yngve Uggla in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jörgen Gummeson saved Garphyttan from getting behind. 71 minutes into the match, Elefanterna's goal looked a bit too open when Egon Bratt came free, but Göran Gök reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egon Bratt in the 71st minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Göran Gök to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jörgen Gummeson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yngve Uggla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jens-Ola Nordin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Göran Gök read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Göran Gök took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Nordmark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Elefanterna's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Nordmark came free, but Göran Gök reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jörgen Gummeson came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Elefanterna's Yngve Uggla. But to his dismay, Yngve Uggla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Garphyttan players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Elefanterna.
