Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sixten Sjö took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Jonsereds IF defense, Ulf Öfverman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gil Garcia. The Jonsereds IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gil Garcia should have stopped the shot. Stig-Arne Boström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixten Sjö, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 25th minute Jonsereds IF were awarded a corner. Ronny Nilsson went to the cornerflag to take it. Brothers of Mercy were furious when Thiago van Dijk was red carded, 31 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Brothers of Mercy! The referee gave Jonsereds IF a penalty, 33 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ronny Nilsson, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Brothers of Mercy's Stig-Arne Boström. 1-1. 37 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's Ulf Öfverman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gil Garcia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 45 played minutes Jonsereds IF got a freekick which was hit by Sixten Sjö. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulf Öfverman was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Dan Björk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 57 minutes into the match, Brothers of Mercy's goal looked a bit too open when Sixten Sjö came free, but Stig-Arne Boström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ulf Öfverman in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gil Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Öfverman in the 62nd minute of play forced Jonsereds IF's goalkeeper Gil Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 62 minutes into the match, Ulf Öfverman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gil Garcia. Jonsereds IF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulf Öfverman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dan Björk hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Brothers of Mercy's defense didn't have a chance, in the 66th minute, when Sixten Sjö scored to the left of an out of position Stig-Arne Boström, making the score, 2-2. Brothers of Mercy made a substitution. Bengt-Rune Strömbom replaced Ulf Öfverman. 70 minutes into the game, Karl-Johan Hedlund was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brothers of Mercy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jonsereds IF the free kick. Karl-Johan Hedlund hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Bengt-Rune Strömbom struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Gil Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brothers of Mercy. Jarl Petersson kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Bengt-Rune Strömbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brothers of Mercy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt-Rune Strömbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gil Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Strömbom in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Brothers of Mercy booed when Jonsereds IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarl Petersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt-Rune Strömbom's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gil Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Gil Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bengt-Rune Strömbom, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Jonsereds IF's Sixten Sjö dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. The Jonsereds IF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
