Vasile Ciolac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavril Bucur, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The supporters of ★POLI★™★VIOLA★ booed when C Ａ R D I N Ａ L was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esdras Negro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aristide Mugur struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jan-Joost Werner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★POLI★™★VIOLA★. After a rather tough play, C Ａ R D I N Ａ L's Robert Ţugui got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Esdras Negro during the 36th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gigi Stanciu to make the kick off.
