After some careless play in the FC GURZUN defense, Felix Logofătu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cătălin Dăianu. The FC GURZUN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cătălin Dăianu should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute, Felix Logofătu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cătălin Dăianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Cătălin Dăianu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigi Todericiu in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Albert Finteșteanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grigore Rânceanu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cornel Nastac kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Valentin Urdăreanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Grigore Rânceanu made a huge save. Jack Ares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cătălin Dăianu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Cătălin Dăianu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Ares, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Costin Croitoru's late challenge caught a Granicerul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costin Croitoru helped the player get up and apologised. Costin Croitoru hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FC GURZUN's Aristide Arsene got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 45th minute, Cristinel Trapcea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 69th minute, Granicerul's Felix Logofătu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Cătălin Dăianu. Cătălin Dăianu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Felix Logofătu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Grigore Rânceanu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matei Cozmâncă in the 80th minute of play. With a little luck, FC GURZUN's Cătălin Dăianu got control of the ball when Gigi Todericiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Jack Ares cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Cătălin Dăianu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Valentin Urdăreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The FC GURZUN supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Granicerul's performance. The match ended with a win for Granicerul.
