The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ionuț Gane in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aron Neculce saved Ninjas in Pyjamas from getting behind. Cezar Novăceanu took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Neculce. Aron Neculce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Constantin Negru's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aron Neculce read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Negru in the 16th minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Aron Neculce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 played minutes Purcaresti CSS got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Georgescu. Aron Neculce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Negru in the 19th minute of the match. Romeo Hizo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelian Zogreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Eliodor Dan charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eliodor Dan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Gane in the 28th minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Aron Neculce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aron Neculce showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valeriu Amurăriței in the 30th minute of the match. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aron Neculce played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valeriu Amurăriței in the 33rd minute of play. A collision led to Ninjas in Pyjamas getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Aurelian Zogreanu hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionuț Gane in the 40th minute of play forced Ninjas in Pyjamas's goalkeeper Aron Neculce to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Iván Zamorano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pompiliu Chiper in the 41 minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ştefan Secară to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Ionuț Gane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 54th match minute, Purcaresti CSS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorin Georgescu to maneuver through the defense. Constantin Negru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Aron Neculce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ninjas in Pyjamas's attentive Florin Griguță managed to snatch the ball when Pompiliu Chiper made a throw-in in the 57th minute of the game. Ninjas in Pyjamas's Aurelian Zogreanu got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Valeriu Amurăriței received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aron Neculce came out and tried to block the shot, but Valeriu Amurăriței slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 65th minute. Cezar Novăceanu succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. With an all-out effort, Purcaresti CSS's Aron Neculce threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valeriu Amurăriței, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 72 minutes into the game, Cornel Surdilă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ninjas in Pyjamas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Purcaresti CSS the free kick. Constantin Negru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Aron Neculce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ninjas in Pyjamas booed when Purcaresti CSS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Stancu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute of the match Florin Griguță shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Romeo Hizo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Aurelian Zogreanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeo Hizo was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Aron Neculce showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valeriu Amurăriței, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Purcaresti CSS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
