Rareș Cubleșan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ionuț Năsturel in the 7th minute. A collision led to FC Buzău getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Castel Prabes hit a great ball. Rareș Cubleșan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emilian Răduța, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rareș Cobâlcescu in the 15th minute of play forced FC Buzău's goalkeeper Alex Buzincu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Buzincu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciprian Mihăileanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Buzău's Emilian Răduța got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 26 played minutes FC ANC got a freekick which was hit by Doru Macovei. In the 32nd minute, Claudiu Stroescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes FC ANC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ionuț Năsturel who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ionuț Năsturel got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rareș Cubleșan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of FC Buzău booed when FC ANC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doru Macovei didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC ANC's Rareș Cubleșan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Nasta in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes FC ANC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ionuț Năsturel who took care of the corner kick. Gavril Necula hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Alex Buzincu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Buculeasa in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciprian Mihăileanu to make the kick off. Sebastian Medrea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rareș Cubleșan came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Buzău's Ilie Nasta. But to his dismay, Ilie Nasta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rareș Cubleșan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Ţiţeica in the 61st minute of the match. Rareș Cubleșan came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Buzău's Emilian Răduța. But to his dismay, Emilian Răduța quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 65th minute, Ilie Nasta made a precise shot to the right of Rareș Cubleșan. FC ANC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. In the 71st minute, Vlad Dragomiroiu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rareș Cubleșan was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 75 minutes into the game, FC Buzău's Ionuț Năsturel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rareș Cubleșan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0.
