Juventus Țiu's Marius Bălașa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Golo Phoenix in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorin Popeneciu in the 13th minute of play forced PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Dacian Ghițescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marius Bălașa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristide Fetea in the 18th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Golo Phoenix notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Juventus Țiu's Marius Bălașa. Marius Bălașa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Mihăilescu had several of the Juventus Țiu's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 29 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Marius Bălașa as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 39th match minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucian Şimonca to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Aristide Fetea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marius Bălașa. Marius Bălașa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Aristide Fetea managed to get in a good position for a shot. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristide Fetea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marius Bălașa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Golo Phoenix in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marius Bălașa saved Juventus Țiu from getting behind. After 56 minutes, Golo Phoenix made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Juventus Țiu's Marius Bălașa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Juventus Țiu's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Mihăilescu came free, but Marius Bălașa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the game, Aristide Fetea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Marius Bălașa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th minute Golo Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Bălașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 played minutes Juventus Țiu got a freekick which was hit by Laurențiu Târban. Marius Bălașa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Golo Phoenix in the 71st minute of the match. In the 75th minute Golo Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Bălașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Phoenix in the 77th minute of play forced Juventus Țiu's goalkeeper Marius Bălașa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute Aristide Fetea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marius Bălașa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golo Phoenix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marius Bălașa having to make a save. After 83 played minutes Juventus Țiu got a freekick which was hit by Mugurel Buda. Marius Bălașa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Jupân in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86thth minute of the game Tiberiu Rotariu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Juventus Țiu's Marius Bălașa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marius Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgil Jupân, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
