Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorin Busuioceanu in the 10th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Mihai Oniga put in a rough tackle. In the 14th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihai Oniga to maneuver through the defense. Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Cojan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 18 minutes into the match, Călin Cojan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gigel Tilea. Academia Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Călin Cojan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gigel Tilea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dorin Busuioceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Gigel Tilea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Busuioceanu in the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s Doru Tarcu got control of the ball when Aron Suşu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 28 minutes into the match, Aron Suşu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Doru Tarcu, 1-1. Doru Tarcu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgil Şimonca in the 33rd minute. 39 minutes into the match, Vasile Hâncu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gigel Tilea. Academia Rio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vasile Hâncu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 46th minute Călin Cojan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gigel Tilea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Academia Rio players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC PIETROSUL -MM- were winning 1-2.

Doru Tarcu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olimpiu Dichiseanu in the 53rd minute of play. Doru Tarcu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dumitru Pantelimon in the 60th minute of the match. Doru Tarcu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dumitru Pantelimon went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. After 68 minutes FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dumitru Pantelimon who took care of the corner kick. After 72 played minutes FC PIETROSUL -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Dorin Busuioceanu. In the 75th match minute, Academia Rio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sergiu Coșeriu to maneuver through the defense. Marius Turcu, 75 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Claudiu Băsescu hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Marius Turcu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gigel Tilea. Academia Rio's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Academia Rio's defense didn't have a chance, in the 88th minute, when Dorin Busuioceanu scored to the left of an out of position Gigel Tilea, making the score, 2-4. 93 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by David Tâbârnă. Paul Gorjanu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. FC PIETROSUL -MM-'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
