After 5 played minutes Paralia Athens got a freekick which was hit by Panait Marghescu. After 7 played minutes, Muget's Olimpiu Cenușă shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Virgil Olariu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Muget reached it. 15 minutes into the match, Muget's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Marghescu came free, but Traian Cenușă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosmin Dragoș could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Traian Cenușă made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Panait Marghescu in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Traian Cenușă prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, Muget's goal looked a bit too open when Panait Marghescu came free, but Traian Cenușă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Paralia Athens defense, Leontin Cenușă kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgil Olariu. The Paralia Athens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgil Olariu should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Paralia Athens getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Luca Tomozei hit a great ball. Paralia Athens's Panait Marghescu got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Costel Neagoe hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Virgil Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Cenușă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute Muget were awarded a corner. Olimpiu Cenușă went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Leontin Cenușă almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Paralia Athens's Virgil Olariu did a great save. Virgil Olariu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sandu Cenușă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the match, Paralia Athens's goal looked a bit too open when Leontin Cenușă came free, but Virgil Olariu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Panait Marghescu was the one to do the kick off. Muget's Traian Cenușă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosmin Dragoș in the 54th minute of play. After 55 minutes, Emil Loghin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muget and the Paralia Athens players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 55th minute, Emil Loghin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Traian Cenușă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Panait Marghescu in the 60th minute of the match. Virgil Olariu didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Muget's Leontin Cenușă shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 73rd minute Cosmin Dragoș shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Traian Cenușă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Muget supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Muget would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
