With 3 minutes on the clock, Dacian Mustăcilă commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. With a little luck, FC MCM's Manuel Tufescu got control of the ball when Nelu Oblemenco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dacian Cârju made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bogdan Agusoaei in the 16th minute of play. After 19 played minutes FC MCM got a freekick which was hit by Corneliu Dragușin. When Nelu Oblemenco came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nelu Oblemenco couldn't finish the play. Elodio Ghinescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Cârju having to interfere. The supporters of FC MCM booed when ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Pătru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Allan Clementsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Cârju having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, FC MCM's Elodio Ghinescu made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dacian Cârju was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, FC MCM's Gelu Amitroaiei got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Bogdan Agusoaei made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelu Oblemenco in the 57th minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Manuel Tufescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelu Oblemenco in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Tufescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute, Elodio Ghinescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC MCM's Albert Pricop was substituted for Radomil Redisz. FC MCM's Leontin Toma was substituted for Gelu Amitroaiei. A collision led to FC MCM getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Elodio Ghinescu hit a great ball. Manuel Tufescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelu Oblemenco in the 65th minute of play. Ion Panduru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Cârju having to make a save. ☆☆AC☆☆TG-OCNA☆☆'s Stefan Antonas was substituted for Jacek Bochinski. Ion Panduru hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zlatan Ibrahimov in the 80th minute of play forced FC MCM's goalkeeper Manuel Tufescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
