Bartlomiej Wojtowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão Pontes having to interfere. 95 minutes into the match, GKS Katowice's goal looked a bit too open when Klement Plachetka came free, but Betão Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Pogoń Szczecin could leave the field as winners, despite GKS Katowice having more of the ball for most of the match.
