The supporters of Gumisie Rybnik booed when Red Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbyszko Orlicki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Krzysztof Golaszewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Radomir Zworski went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Dobromir Cwojdak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jurand Daszkowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jerzy Borkowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Gumisie Rybnik's goal looked a bit too open when Jurand Mockiewicz came free, but Jurand Daszkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jurand Mockiewicz in the 88th minute of play forced Gumisie Rybnik's goalkeeper Jurand Daszkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konrad Wodaszak was shown his second yellow card after 88 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 89th minute, Konrad Wodaszak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 94th minute, Jurand Mockiewicz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Red Devils fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
