After some careless play in the ATOWN defense, Damien Quinn kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lavrits Bjørnfalk. The ATOWN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lavrits Bjørnfalk should have stopped the shot. In the 20th minute, João Francisco Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lavrits Bjørnfalk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Francisco Toscano went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Cléberson Mendonça sped through ATOWN's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lavrits Bjørnfalk. Lavrits Bjørnfalk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Francisco Toscano went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. In the 34th minute, João Francisco Toscano made a precise shot to the right of Lavrits Bjørnfalk. ATOWN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. ATOWN's Kristof Lauenbach managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Damien Quinn in the 37 minute of the game. 39 minutes into the game, Clapham Rovers's Gavin Sedgemore nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lavrits Bjørnfalk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. 43 minutes into the match, ATOWN's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Toscano came free, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Donny Stockton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ronni Arnov made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute of the match, João Francisco Toscano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Damien Quinn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lavrits Bjørnfalk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléberson Mendonça in the 56th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match, Cléberson Mendonça tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Peder Vejs kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, ATOWN's goalkeeper Lavrits Bjørnfalk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Francisco Toscano. In the 63rd minute Cléberson Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lavrits Bjørnfalk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damien Quinn showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cléberson Mendonça in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lavrits Bjørnfalk saved ATOWN from getting behind. Lavrits Bjørnfalk stood somewhat misplaced when Cléberson Mendonça came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 72 minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléberson Mendonça in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lavrits Bjørnfalk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lavrits Bjørnfalk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Francisco Toscano went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-10 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Mendonça in the 80th minute of play forced ATOWN's goalkeeper Lavrits Bjørnfalk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Clapham Rovers's Damien Quinn dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-12. João Francisco Toscano scored 0-13 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lavrits Bjørnfalk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Clapham Rovers played a much better game than ATOWN and deserved their victory. The ATOWN players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
