SV Bad Harzburg's Eckhard Donndorf was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paul Minert in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván Villafane in the 7th minute of play forced SV Bad Harzburg's goalkeeper Tim Wiese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 9 minutes of play, lyptus's Iván Villafane made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Wiese was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nikolas Lintner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute Iván Villafane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Wiese saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iván Villafane in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iván Villafane in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tim Wiese prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hein Graf made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 25thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Paul Minert would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Hein Graf kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 25thth minute. Though ot was a great shot lyptus's keeper Paul Minert was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Paul Minert was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Hein Graf capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hein Graf really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iván Villafane in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, lyptus's Iván Villafane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Wiese narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paul Minert made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Hein Graf sent off a good shot on target. When André Neubauer came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the SV Bad Harzburg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Neubauer couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Welf Heinlein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 played minutes, lyptus's Kennet Dorch shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tim Wiese came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in lyptus reached it. After a defensive mix-up in SV Bad Harzburg's zone, Iván Villafane stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Wiese came out of the goal and Iván Villafane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tim Wiese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iván Villafane in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hein Graf was the one to do the kick off. Hein Graf struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Paul Minert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Bad Harzburg. Achim Sonnenschein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by SV Bad Harzburg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kennet Dorch was slow to take the kick. During this time lyptus's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Kennet Dorch almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SV Bad Harzburg's Tim Wiese did a great save. The audience was convinced that Hein Graf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paul Minert was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Nikolas Lintner managed to get in a good position for a shot. lyptus's supporters rose to their feet, but Nikolas Lintner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tim Wiese breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tim Wiese made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Iván Villafane sent off a good shot on target. Kennet Dorch kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Hein Graf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Minert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SV Bad Harzburg were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
