The excitement rose when Gavião Kyikatejê's João Vítor Bittencourt after 7 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Sletteenge's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 0-1. Nick McVean took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teis Jørnsgård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nick McVean made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ralph Nielans in the 14th minute. Petter Eirod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Bittencourt in the 15th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Bittencourt in the 17th minute of play forced Sletteenge's goalkeeper Petter Eirod to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Thanks to some nice moves João Vítor Bittencourt could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Petter Eirod however easily saved by the left post. In the 94th minute, Davie McWhirter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Gavião Kyikatejê players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
