Spectators: 162 (Terracing: 122, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Botvik FC's Catarino Macena started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Taavetti Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Leon Ritter sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute, FC 08 Brühl's Johannes Bernlöhr ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Taavetti Nybacka. Taavetti Nybacka yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The supporters of FC 08 Brühl booed when Botvik FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teuvo Niemelä didn't get a good kick on the ball. Taavetti Nybacka made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Reşit Selman sent off a good shot on target. FC 08 Brühl's Rurik Ellinghaus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Catarino Macena in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Macena in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rurik Ellinghaus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reşit Selmans short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Taavetti Nybacka to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 30 minutes into the game, Catarino Macena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. In the 35th minute, Tapani Roihuvuori hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Taavetti Nybacka showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johannes Bernlöhr, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Taavetti Nybacka was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Leon Ritter capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leon Ritter really showed his touch with that goal: 4-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Johannes Bernlöhr kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Taavetti Nybacka. That made the score 5-2 in the 46 minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-2.

57 minutes into the game, Lukas Podolski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-2. Taavetti Nybacka was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Botvik FC defense, Reşit Selman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Taavetti Nybacka. The Botvik FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taavetti Nybacka should have stopped the shot. Botvik FC's Taavetti Nybacka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Ritter in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Reşit Selman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Taavetti Nybacka.
