A collision led to The Nerd Herd getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Alfred Kofoed hit a great ball. The Nerd Herd's Lars Bergo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save The Nerd Herd from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, The Nerd Herd's Lars Bergo got control of the ball when Carl Kröger tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Pinkus Mack took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lars Bergo to make any attempt to save it. Carl Kröger did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Lars Bergo 34 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bård Kjærvik made a kick off. Lars Bergo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Kröger, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The Nerd Herd's Lars Bergo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moritz Christe in the 56th minute of play. In the 57thth minute of the game Pinkus Mack who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but The Nerd Herd's Lars Bergo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lars Bergo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moritz Christe, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Meinolf Rebe hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Academica Pulheim's Edgar Gomminginger was substituted for Meinolf Rebe. After 62 played minutes Academica Pulheim got a freekick which was hit by Meinolf Rebe. 66 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Kröger came free, but Lars Bergo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lars Bergo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Gomminginger in the 84th minute of play. If Bård Kjærvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Academica Pulheim had won after a very even match.
