Odin Saue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pere Montaña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Jay in the 31st minute of play forced Ballkam Sportsklubb's goalkeeper Odin Saue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phil Porter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. De-la-Cruz Fantasia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 43 minutes into the match, Ballkam Sportsklubb's goal looked a bit too open when Pere Montaña came free, but Odin Saue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Vincent Abubakar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Martial Jay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half FC LIVERPOOL were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pere Montaña was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Fred Santos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC LIVERPOOL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballkam Sportsklubb the free kick. The supporters of Ballkam Sportsklubb booed when FC LIVERPOOL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fred Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball.
