The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, UNLIMITED's Alfonso Baldassarre got control of the ball when Lilian Thuram tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 4th minute, Guillaume Minier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Enzo Di Luca fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UNLIMITED's protests and gave Enzo Di Luca a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Joseph Desjardin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moïse Labruyère showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciccio Carciofo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. UNLIMITED's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Andrea Piermattei in the 10th minute. In the 15th minute, Joseph Desjardin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Avel Vat's Moïse Labruyère played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrea Piermattei in the 16th minute of play. Alfonso Baldassarre made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Lilian Thuram sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of UNLIMITED booed when Avel Vat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lilian Thuram didn't get a good kick on the ball. Guillaume Minier struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Alfonso Baldassarre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avel Vat. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youri Djorkaeff in the 28th minute of play forced UNLIMITED's goalkeeper Alfonso Baldassarre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andrea Piermattei hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, UNLIMITED's goalkeeper Alfonso Baldassarre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Youri Djorkaeff. 31 minutes into the game, Youri Djorkaeff recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alfonso Baldassarre. Youri Djorkaeff showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Alfonso Baldassarre made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Youri Djorkaeff sent off a good shot on target. In the 47th match minute, UNLIMITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andrea Piermattei to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Youri Djorkaeff to strike the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Baldassarre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Youri Djorkaeff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Youri Djorkaeff got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfonso Baldassarre quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee ignored UNLIMITED's protests and gave Andrea Piermattei a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to UNLIMITED getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Andrea Piermattei hit a great ball. Alfonso Baldassarre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guillaume Minier in the 84th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Avel Vat's Youri Djorkaeff nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfonso Baldassarre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. When the referee ended the match the Avel Vat players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
