The supporters of Maci FC booed when Fortaleza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corrado Pietropaolo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Campoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Tullio in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th match minute, Fortaleza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Faiella to maneuver through the defense. After 20 minutes of play, Fortaleza's Corrado Pietropaolo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 65th minute, Maci FC's Bianco Landolfi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bianco Landolfi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Maci FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bianco Landolfi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 66 played minutes, Fortaleza's Elia Bizzarri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emanuele Iannone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fortaleza reached it. Emanuele Iannone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şehzade Akburç in the 68th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şehzade Akburç in the 95th minute of play forced Maci FC's goalkeeper Emanuele Iannone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fortaleza's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
