Seating: 35, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bernardo Mastronardi started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Anfilogino Di Persio reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Edoardo Di Lorenzo. The goal made the score 1-0. Edoardo Di Lorenzo was a little too slow when Fabiano Canzano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 6th minute. The score was now 2-0. Edoardo Di Lorenzo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Di Persio in the 17th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernardo Mastronardi in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Emilio Moreschi saved Longobarda from getting behind. In the 23rd minute Bernardo Mastronardi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Moreschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardo Mastronardi took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emilio Moreschi. Emilio Moreschi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. In the 27th minute Ciccio Catena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emilio Moreschi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edoardo Di Lorenzo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fabiano Canzano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 29 minute of play. Edoardo Di Lorenzo made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Fortunato Vanni sent off a good shot on target. The Longobarda fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Longobarda's Fabiano Canzano looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Florian Bergomi hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute Anfilogino Di Persio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Di Lorenzo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fortunato Vanni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Di Lorenzo having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 45 minutes, Edoardo Di Lorenzo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fortunato Vanni was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Fabrizio Pari hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Ciccio Catena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eraldo Trotta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Moreschi having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Supremacy Catania FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anfilogino Di Persio came free, but Edoardo Di Lorenzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Anfilogino Di Persio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Longobarda's supporters rose to their feet, but Anfilogino Di Persio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edoardo Di Lorenzo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Anfilogino Di Persio came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Longobarda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anfilogino Di Persio couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Supremacy Catania FC's Comunardo Placidi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Comunardo Placidi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Supremacy Catania FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Comunardo Placidi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Supremacy Catania FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 69th minute. Penalty! Ciccio Catena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Emilio Moreschi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edoardo Di Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabiano Canzano in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Fortunato Vanni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edoardo Di Lorenzo was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. Edoardo Di Lorenzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armin Verdone in the 80th minute of play. When Bernardo Mastronardi fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Supremacy Catania FC's protests and gave Bernardo Mastronardi a yellow card for diving instead. Bernardo Mastronardi kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Emilio Moreschi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Trotta in the 82nd minute of play. Bernardo Mastronardi might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emilio Moreschi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardo Mastronardi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ciccio Catena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Moreschi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eraldo Trotta in the 91st minute of the match. Edoardo Di Lorenzo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Canzano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ciccio Catena struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Emilio Moreschi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Supremacy Catania FC. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciccio Catena got free with Emilio Moreschi in the 98th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Supremacy Catania FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
