Templars FC were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Unione Sportiva's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Benedict Cumberbatch took the corner. Unione Sportiva's Seleykos Sklavenitis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Manicolo in the 25th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Templars FC's Austin Gatt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Seleykos Sklavenitis. That made the score 1-0 after 27 minutes of play. Samuel Demicoli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Volakis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Alexandros Gavril's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Demicoli was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Austin Gatt got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Epigonoi Theohari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th match minute, Templars FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Martin Manicolo to maneuver through the defense. Samuel Demicoli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epigonoi Theohari in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandros Gavril to make the kick off. In the 50th minute Joaquin Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seleykos Sklavenitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve DeGaetano kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Templars FC's Benedict Cumberbatch got a free kick in the 57th minute. Unione Sportiva's Nessos Koulaxizis got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Dimosthenis Malihoudis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Demicoli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Epigonoi Theohari in the 60th minute of the match. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Templars FC from getting a goal against them. After 70 minutes of play, Unione Sportiva's Alexandros Gavril made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Demicoli was left in no man's land by his defense there! Templars FC made a substitution. Gabriel Lentini replaced Steve DeGaetano. In the 82nd minute, Angelo Meilak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nessos Koulaxizis was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 83rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Templars FC's Samuel Demicoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epigonoi Theohari in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Joaquin Phoenix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seleykos Sklavenitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquin Phoenix in the 90th minute of play forced Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Seleykos Sklavenitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Unione Sportiva's goalkeeper Seleykos Sklavenitis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Charalambos Christou charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Charalambos Christou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Benedict Cumberbatch came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Templars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedict Cumberbatch couldn't finish the play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
