Fotis Stamatakos started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Lawrence De Marco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renos Valantis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of MONAXOS booed when Attard Gunners was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clayton Brockdorff didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joshua Demanuele in the 11th minute of play forced MONAXOS's goalkeeper Renos Valantis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renos Valantis was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Avraam Karavokiris during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Avraam Karavokiris hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Albert Diacono left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Attard Gunners fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. MONAXOS's Renos Valantis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lawrence De Marco in the 36th minute of play. Andrea Xuereb struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Renos Valantis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attard Gunners. A collision led to MONAXOS getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Iordanis Kazantzakis hit a great ball. In the 43rd minute, Lawrence De Marco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renos Valantis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 47th minute, Andrea Xuereb ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Renos Valantis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-7 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lawrence De Marco to make the kick off. But to his dismay, Mario Pullicino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Albert Diacono hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Renos Valantis came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Attard Gunners's Andrea Xuereb. But to his dismay, Andrea Xuereb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-9. Renos Valantis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lawrence De Marco in the 72nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the game, Vaios Katsikaris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MONAXOS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attard Gunners the free kick. After 72 played minutes MONAXOS got a freekick which was hit by Vaios Katsikaris. In the 73rd minute, Lawrence De Marco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, MONAXOS's goal looked a bit too open when Mario Pullicino came free, but Renos Valantis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 80 minutes of play, Attard Gunners's Lawrence De Marco made it 0-10 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Renos Valantis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lawrence De Marco in the 93rd minute of the match. When the match was over Attard Gunners could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than MONAXOS throughout the match.
