After 4 minutes of play, Duri come il marmo's Ferruccio Di Campli made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfredo Monaco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute Ovidio Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Monaco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Ferruccio Di Campli reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfredo Monaco. The goal made the score 2-0. 12 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Ugutz came free, but Alfredo Monaco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Camillo Vittorio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Monaco was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 24 minutes into the match, Merceron United's goalkeeper Alfredo Monaco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilio Di Campli. Alfredo Monaco was a little too slow when Ferruccio Di Campli got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 6-0. In the 29th minute Ennio Marcantonio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felice Selvaggi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merceron United's Alfredo Monaco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Merceron United from getting a goal against them. Alfredo Monaco came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Duri come il marmo's Ferruccio Di Campli. But to his dismay, Ferruccio Di Campli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Ovidio Ugutz kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alfredo Monaco. That made the score 8-0 in the 36 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Duri come il marmo's Ferruccio Di Campli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredo Monaco. That made the score 9-0 after 40 minutes of play. Alfredo Monaco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Ugutz in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute of the match, Ovidio Ugutz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alfredo Monaco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 9-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ennio Marcantonio was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Emilio Di Campli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duri come il marmo's supporters rose to their feet, but Emilio Di Campli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Monaco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Merceron United's Alfredo Monaco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Ugutz in the 54th minute of play. Alfredo Monaco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emilio Di Campli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Felice Selvaggi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ennio Marcantonio. Ennio Marcantonios short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Felice Selvaggi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ovidio Ugutz scored 12-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Monaco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alfredo Monaco came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Duri come il marmo's Ovidio Ugutz. But to his dismay, Ovidio Ugutz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0. Alfredo Monaco came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Duri come il marmo's Emilio Di Campli. But to his dismay, Emilio Di Campli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 14-0. Alfredo Monaco came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Duri come il marmo's Emilio Di Campli. But to his dismay, Emilio Di Campli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. Alfredo Monaco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidio Ugutz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With his leg Felice Selvaggi managed to avoid a goal in the 91stth minute, when Merceron United's Ennio Marcantonio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alfredo Monaco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ovidio Ugutz in the 95th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Duri come il marmo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
