Emilio Palone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Nero in the 23rd minute of the match. Emilio Palone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Napoleoni in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute Cristoforo Tellini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrico Albertosi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Borgo Doria F.C. defense, Franco Nero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emilio Palone.
