Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arrigo Iannucci in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kevan Grange prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd match minute, Les diables noirs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moïse Ganivet to maneuver through the defense. Arrigo Iannucci had several of the Les diables noirs's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stintino FC's Christian Ruscitti managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Stéphane Cueille in the 45 minute of the game. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arrigo Iannucci made a kick off.
