After 5 minutes, Bastien Tassart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stade Ygossais and the Vakoufi Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. Petros Vasdekis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Blaison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Konstantinos Tsevas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 30 minutes, Konstantinos Tsevas made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Stade Ygossais's Frigyes Rigó tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Vakoufi Utd booed when Stade Ygossais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreas Korpetis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frigyes Rigó having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgard Blaison stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th match minute, Vakoufi Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantinos Tsevas to maneuver through the defense. Vakoufi Utd's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
