Cosa nostra Lyon's Rodd Laing got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filippo Pugliese in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clem Fath prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cosa nostra Lyon's Tim Ménet quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alessandro Albertosi, made in the 15th minute of the game. Erwann Patrice hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Enrico De Grandis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Erwann Patrice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodd Laing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, A.S. Trastevere's Emiliano Mannucci got control of the ball when Rodd Laing tried to sneak it across the goal line. 35 minutes in the game, Rodd Laing fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emiliano Mannucci having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Enrico De Grandis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A.S. Trastevere's Emiliano Mannucci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Trastevere from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Enrico De Grandis made a kick off. Rodd Laing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Mannucci having to interfere. Alessandro Albertosi made in the 54th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Felice Caligaris immediately put the ball in play. Carlo Graziano charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlo Graziano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cosa nostra Lyon's Rodd Laing got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodd Laing struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Emiliano Mannucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cosa nostra Lyon. If Felice Caligaris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filippo Pugliese scored 0-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clem Fath, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 69 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goalkeeper Clem Fath had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felice Caligaris. After 72 minutes of play, Cosa nostra Lyon's Rodd Laing made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emiliano Mannucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Emiliano Mannucci made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodd Laing in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Rodd Laing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emiliano Mannucci. A.S. Trastevere's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodd Laing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 84 minutes into the match, Cosa nostra Lyon's goal looked a bit too open when Felice Caligaris came free, but Clem Fath reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cosa nostra Lyon's Rodd Laing in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye A.S. Rodd Laing recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
