After 7 played minutes AFC Ajax got a freekick which was hit by Dorotheos Tsiamakis. In the 8th minute Fabiano Fiorentino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lakis Megas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind AFC Ajax's goalkeeper Lakis Megas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th minute, Alfredo Corrente ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lakis Megas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. With a little luck, A.C. Patagonia's Florian Moscatelli got control of the ball when Stamatis Giotas tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Daskalakis in the 23rd minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Florian Moscatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ermis Panteliadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lakis Megas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Corrente in the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, AFC Ajax's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Fiorentino came free, but Lakis Megas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lakis Megas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Fiorentino, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Florian Moscatelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermis Panteliadis in the 42nd minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

AFC Ajax made a substitution. Charis Katydis replaced Nontas Livaditis. 54 minutes into the game, Alfredo Corrente recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lakis Megas. Alfredo Corrente showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stamatis Giotas in the 59th minute of play forced A.C. Patagonia's goalkeeper Florian Moscatelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stamatis Giotas during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Ermis Panteliadis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patagonia echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as AFC Ajax had held the ball for most of the match.
