Gustave Lechat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Claudio Mattioli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. forsal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Mattioli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Paulo Teinturier recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Huang Hao Chuan. Paulo Teinturier showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. William Chausson hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Gustave Lechat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Ascani in the 25th minute of the match. The supporters of R.C. Marseille booed when forsal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredo Ubriaco didn't get a good kick on the ball. R.C. Marseille's Florent Travers shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 27th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Huang Hao Chuan but with some difficulty. In the 30th minute of the match, Paulo Teinturier tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Huang Hao Chuan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gustave Lechat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Mattioli, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Sandaili Solbeida kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th match minute, R.C. Marseille was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Dubar to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th minute, Claudio Mattioli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Florent Travers kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Alberto Ascani managed to get in a good position for a shot. forsal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alberto Ascani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustave Lechat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When R.C. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The R.C. Marseille players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. forsal FC were winning 1-2.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Teinturier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, R.C. Marseille's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alberto Ascani fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 58th minute Alberto Ascani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustave Lechat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Teinturier in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Huang Hao Chuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The tension between the R.C. Marseille and the forsal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, R.C. Marseille's William Lepreux got a free kick in the 69th minute. Meng Mo Feng kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 71 played minutes, R.C. Marseille's Alexandre Dubar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Huang Hao Chuan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in R.C. Marseille reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Mattioli in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustave Lechat saved R.C. Marseille from getting behind. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Claudio Mattioli sped through R.C. Marseille's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustave Lechat. In the 77th minute, Paulo Teinturier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R.C. Marseille fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bart Vetter couldn't finish the play. Claudio Mattioli in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustave Lechat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. forsal FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
