But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgos Boulgouridis couldn't finish the play. Noisiel's Samy Roulin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giorgos Boulgouridis in the 9th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Affan Bakır took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Efthimis Psaris to make any attempt to save it. In the 16th minute, Spyros Lagizos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mounir Liot received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Efthimis Psaris came out and tried to block the shot, but Mounir Liot slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 42nd minute. Efthimis Psaris showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Affan Bakır in the 45th minute of the match. Mounir Liot could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Efthimis Psaris made a huge save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Affan Bakır stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Giorgos Boulgouridis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Liverpool F.C. YNWA made a substitution. Nikitas Roussakis replaced Alexandros Kabanis. The supporters of Liverpool F.C. YNWA booed when Noisiel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Moutoussamy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Affan Bakır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efthimis Psaris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Boulgouridis in the 64th minute of play forced Noisiel's goalkeeper Samy Roulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karl Moutoussamy hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Efthimis Psaris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdinand Roussillon in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giorgos Boulgouridis in the 90th minute of play forced Noisiel's goalkeeper Samy Roulin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game was made by Karl Moutoussamy with Jean-Yves Zhang as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 94th minute Affan Bakır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Efthimis Psaris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Liverpool F.C. YNWA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
