Alfred Klawki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Di Luzio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Todd Kidd showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Seggiano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Aziz Gustaman scored to the left of an out of position Fausto Di Luzio, making the score, 2-0. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achille Pasinati, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Achille Pasinati in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Cañizares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 35th minute Florentin Gougeon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Di Luzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Di Luzio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentin Gougeon in the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achille Pasinati in the 39th minute of play forced Valencia C.F.'s goalkeeper Santiago Cañizares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Cañizares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Klawki in the 42nd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Seggiano's goal looked a bit too open when Florentin Gougeon came free, but Fausto Di Luzio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Alfred Klawki made the kick off in the second half. In the 60th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Al Capone to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florentin Gougeon in the 63rd minute of play forced Seggiano's goalkeeper Fausto Di Luzio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Valencia C.F.'s Santiago Cañizares got control of the ball when Achille Pasinati tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tuncay Candeğer during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Many of Seggiano's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Seggiano may have spent more time on the ball, but Valencia C.F. were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
