When Armando Spano fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Seggiano's protests and gave Armando Spano a yellow card for diving instead. Armando Spano kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Seggiano's Armando Spano got a free kick in the 46th minute.

In the 54th minute, Alfred Klawki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santiago Cañizares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Santiago Cañizares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Seggiano's Arrigo Saturno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Santiago Cañizares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. There was no doubt that Seggiano were the better team. Seggiano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
