The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Brais Perpiñán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrés Cainzos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Monistrolet CD's Andrés Cainzos threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Brais Perpiñán, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Villel's Evaristo Ruiz in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Monistrolet CD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barea Munoz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Monistrolet CD's Mariano Japón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cheche Manzano in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Fidel Zafrilla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Villel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Evaristo Ruiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Japón having to interfere. Nesto Gómez charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nesto Gómez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Villel booed when Monistrolet CD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nesto Gómez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Mariano Japón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Ruiz in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Monistrolet CD's Nel Sarro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nel Sarro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Monistrolet CD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nel Sarro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Andrés Cainzos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brais Perpiñán in the 62nd minute of play. Evaristo Ruiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Japón having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play, Villel's Fidel Zafrilla made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariano Japón was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mariano Japón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Ruiz in the 70th minute of play. Mariano Japón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evaristo Ruiz in the 79th minute of the match. Andrés Cainzos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nesto Gómez in the 83rd minute of play. The supporters of Monistrolet CD booed when Villel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position.
