Cláudio Balsemão started the match with the kick off. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Garcia in the 6th minute of play. Albano Leizarraga kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Garcia in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignatius Casasola prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Vale in the 15th minute of play. André Roriz struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Manuel Estrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Garanhão do SUL. Carlos Garcia spun around in front of the goal 21 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Garanhão do SUL's goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Vale in the 22nd minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Ignatius Casasola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SITIO CITY getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Armindo Carvalhal hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Cláudio Balsemão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Estrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Carlos Garcia made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ignatius Casasola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Garcia's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After 39 minutes, Carlos Garcia made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Garanhão do SUL's Ignatius Casasola tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd match minute, SITIO CITY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Monsanto to maneuver through the defense. Ignatius Casasola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Morais in the 44th minute of play. Ignatius Casasola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Garcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Garcia came free, but Ignatius Casasola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

After 52 minutes of play, Garanhão do SUL's Albano Leizarraga made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manuel Estrada was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albano Leizarraga's late challenge caught a SITIO CITY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albano Leizarraga helped the player get up and apologised. Albano Leizarraga kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SITIO CITY's Carlos Garcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ignatius Casasola. That made the score 1-4 after 65 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Vale got free with Ignatius Casasola in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlos Garcia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Ignatius Casasola when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dimas Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Casasola having to interfere. Garanhão do SUL's António Gama was substituted for André Roriz. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when SITIO CITY was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Carlos Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes SITIO CITY got a freekick which was hit by Pierre-Paul Swin. 86 minutes into the game, SITIO CITY's Alexandre Vale nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ignatius Casasola made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. In the 92nd match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Gama to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Abel Lameirinhas got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 95th minute of the match, Carlos Garcia tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ignatius Casasola saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Diogo Rios hit a great ball. Alexandre Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SITIO CITY eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
